Abstract

A gas stove has been developed by Fuel Research Cell Chemical  Engineering Department of IIT, Delhi. This stove mainly consumes rice husk along with some briquetted  solid fuel The gas is produced from rice husk by the heat generated by the hot bed of briquetted fuel and this gas is then burnt on the top of a stove with complete combustion, giving no smoke. The above is like any other set up which is used for burning solid fuel but has a jacket filled with rice husk.
